Hyundai Elantra Beats 10 Million Sales Mark Worldwide

Hyundai stated today that the Elantra compact vehicle total sales are bigger than 10 million around the globe.

The Elantra has been on sale since 1990. It is Hyundai’s pioneer nameplate to reach the milestone. American commercialized cars are manufactured at Hyuindai’s Montgomery, Ala. Assembly factory. They are offered in hatchback, sedan and coupe variants, though the pictured latter is cancelled.

Therefore, if to believe the company’s sales reports, the automaker has been selling 1,100 Elantras daily. In other words, it has sold 45% per four as it was launced on sale in 1990.

There are not that many nameplates which can claim selling so many units, though some of the others include the Toyota Corolla at nearly 34 million, the Honda Civic and the Volkswagen Beetle and Golf.
