Disclosing of 2016 Mazda MX-5 specifications
A week ago Mazda presented the 2016 MX-5. At first the company did not give much information about the model’s specification.
Though, it is stated in a new report in the Motoring that the new roadster will weight only 1,020 kg (2,248 lbs) presumably. It means that previous model was 100 kg (or 220 lbs) heavier.
According to the report, a 1.5-liter SKYACTIV-G petrol V4 will be powering the entry-level model. It is stated that it can develop 128 HP (96 kW). There’s no information about how much torque it will be able to produce, probably, more than 144 Nm (or 106 lb-ft).
