Chinese Drivers to Lift the Home Country to EV Selling Leader

An interesting view has been presented by BMW stating that China might soon beat all the others in EV competition.

The opinion of the German company is supported by the fact that in the nearest future the country will hold the largest amount of charging stations plus legal endeavours meant to cut down on the infamous excessive pollution due to the use of more ecological cars. Another argument on the matter derives from the BMW’s permit provided by Shanghai local bodies to convert an expo building into a free charging spot.

Chinese representative of the carmaker agrees with the colleagues and has no doubts that China has all chances to conquer the EV market. In this context, not only BMW is the part of evolution as plenty of electric vehicles from other producers are present in the country’s dealerships.

Two largest domestic auto manufacturers – BYD and state-owned SAIC Motor – are going to get access to the free chargers built by BMW. Tesla is not included into the list as it will independently deal with its Superchargers.

Naturally, the German brand will secure its presence at the Chinese market. The first endeavour of this kind is a trial release of i3. Number of dealerships selling the model is also limited because of delays in supply, and though hardly even 1,000 can be moved in the country this year, overall sales prediction reaches 400,000. As for the Chinese part, half a million electric vehicles are to be seen on the roads by the next year.
