Beijing Presentation for Hybrid Concept from Bentley

Go-green attitude has finally landed on the bosses of Bentley and found its creative output in the new hybrid concept premiering in China.

Innovative plug-in engine of the novelty from the British company will allow making the vehicle one-quarter more efficient and considerably lower carbon dioxide emission percentage. Engineers also promise the car to last for at least 31 miles working solely on electric motor.

The most obvious external alternation is presented by copper insertions. This material can be found at a range of details including headlamps, calipers and simply the sides of the vehicle. What concerns the interior, copper was used to adorn several elements of the dashboard. The metal also became a part of custom upholstery.

Gradual changes will follow this debut. First production plug-in from Bentley will appear not earlier than 2017, as the brand wants to release an SUV with a conventional motor and then convert it. Long-terms plans of the luxury brand include increasing the amount of vehicles of such class to cover approximately 90% of the line-up. It will take Bentley 6 years to make a transition.
