Bentley Torcal Electric SUV Debuts in 888-HP First Edition Specification
Bentley has prepared a special First Edition launch version for its first production electric crossover, the Torcal. Created to mark the model's market debut, this modification combines the most powerful powertrain in the lineup, an expanded list of standard equipment, and exclusive styling elements that are only offered as separate paid options on standard versions.
On the outside, the Bentley Torcal in First Edition trim can be recognized by the signature Carbon Fibre Styling Specification exterior package. It includes carbon-fiber "fins" on the front bumper, carbon side sill extensions, exterior mirror caps, and a diffuser in the rear bumper. The look is complemented by special 22-inch First Edition alloy wheels with gloss black spokes and self-leveling center caps featuring the Bentley emblem, behind which brake calipers from the Mulliner division painted in Graphene Grey are visible.
Inside the cabin, the debut version introduces two features that are new to the Torcal model: fully motorized power-operated opening and closing for all four doors, as well as a Frosted Diamond panoramic roof capable of switching to a frosted mode. The front seats come standard with the Wellness package featuring extended massage programs, while second-row passengers get the Comfort package, which includes seat ventilation and extra-soft headrests. Acoustic accompaniment is provided by a Naim for Bentley audio system with Dolby Atmos surround sound technology, comprising 28 speakers and delivering 1,780 W of power.
On the technical side, the First Edition features the range-topping dual-motor electric powertrain in the Torcal family. The combined output of the system is 888 metric horsepower (PS) and 1,350 Nm of torque. The heavy electric crossover is capable of accelerating from a standstill to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds, while its top speed is electronically limited to 260 km/h.
The motors are powered by a 113 kWh traction battery, rated to cover up to 600 kilometers on a single charge under the WLTP testing cycle. The onboard architecture supports DC fast charging at up to 400 kW, allowing the battery to be replenished from 10 to 80 percent in less than 20 minutes. While the starting price of the standard Bentley Torcal is around 170,000 pounds sterling, preliminary estimates from the British press suggest that buyers will have to pay noticeably more than 200,000 pounds for the richly equipped First Edition version.
