American Debut of Green Hyundai Tucson

Crossover Hyundai Tucson working on hydrogen will soon reach the American shore.

California drivers will be the first to try the green vehicle which is the hydrogen fuel cell debut of South Korean manufacturer. Lease of the car will cost $500 with refuelling free of charge for 36 months. Before North America Tucsons have made their appearance at the domestic and European markets.

Hyundai managed to get to the USA sooner than the competitors from Toyota and Honda. These Japanese companies will launch their similar products next year. California dealerships are familiar with Honda hydrogen vehicles: FCX Clarity debuted there in 2008. The crucial benefit of fuel cell cars is their short refuelling period, although infrastructure is underdeveloped regarding this issue.

Government of the state actively cooperates with hydrogen vehicle manufacturers. More than $45 million were allocated from the budget to this purpose. In the soonest time the number of fuel stations will reach 25 units and in two years, as popularity of these cars increases, drivers will be able to refuel at 50 sites.
