Nissan GT-R NISMO Aims 2 Sec 0-60 Time

Since its debut the GT-R has achieved a lot on and off the track, but currently Nissan is going to set a record that would simply be astonishing.

The 2015 Nissan GT-R NISMO, will debut at the Tokyo Auto Show in November, is going to be the fastest-accelerating production vehicle ever, heading for a 0-60 mph time of just 2 sec. No mistake, the Nissan GT-R NISMO will accelerate to 60 mph from a standstill quicker than a Bugatti Veyron Super Sport.

It sounds like a mission impossible, but if any car can do it, it’s the Nissan GT-R. And with the boost that Nissan wants to make with its NISMO brand, it wouldn’t be a surprise that the automaker would do everything possible to achieve a record. The NISMO version GT-R is being manufacured with the help of Williams Advanced Engineering, the team that also assisted to develop the Juke Nismo.

Surely the GT-R NISMO will receive an increase in power from its twin-turbo V6 powerplant, but putting it on a diet would help its acceleration time hugely.
