Volkswagen Multivan T7 gallery (2021–present)
The Volkswagen Multivan T7 launched in 2021 built on the passenger-car MQB platform, introducing plug-in hybrid powertrains.
Unveiled in June 2021, the Multivan T7 represents a major architectural shift by moving to the passenger-car MQB platform. This transition delivered car-like handling dynamics, reduced weight, and enhanced acoustic comfort. The futuristic exterior features a lower drag coefficient, optional two-tone exterior finishes, and redesigned individual rear seats that are 25% lighter for easier removal.
For the first time, the Multivan introduced an eHybrid plug-in hybrid variant combining a 1.4-liter TSI engine with an electric motor for 218 hp total output. Standard gasoline 1.5 TSI and 2.0 TSI units and a 2.0 TDI turbodiesel are also available, paired exclusively with Shift-by-Wire DSG automatic transmissions.
