The Volkswagen Eos was a coupe-convertible featuring a complex 5-piece CSC folding hardtop with an integrated glass sunroof.
The Volkswagen Eos (Typ 1F) debuted at the 2005 Frankfurt Motor Show and entered series production in 2006. Built on PQ35 architecture blending Golf V and Passat B6 elements, its engineering highlight was a 5-piece Webasto CSC folding hardtop mechanism that included a sliding glass sunroof.
Powertrains included 1.4 TSI, 2.0 TSI, 3.2/3.6 VR6 petrol engines (up to 260 hp), and a 2.0 TDI turbodiesel. A 2010 facelift aligned styling with the Passat B7.

Volkswagen Lengthens ID. Buzz Cargo Electric Van by 250 Millimeters

Volkswagen has revealed the Mission Efficiency concept, an ultra-aerodynamic electric coupe built on the MEB+ platform as a spiritual successor to the XL1. During a test drive from Wolfsburg to Vienna, the prototype covered 1,278 kilometers on a 54.9-kWh battery with a single recharge, achieving an energy consumption of 6.89 kWh per 100 km.
