Volkswagen Bora II gallery (2026–present)

The second generation of the Volkswagen Bora for the Kazakhstan market is a localized edition of the Volkswagen Sagitar L, manufactured in China by the FAW-Volkswagen joint venture. Built upon the modular MQB architecture, the vehicle is classified as a mid-size four-door sedan. Its exterior dimensions reach 4,812 mm in length, 1,813 mm in width, and 1,479 mm in height, with an extended wheelbase of 2,731 mm providing substantial rear legroom and ample trunk capacity.

The powertrain features a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder 1.5 TSI petrol engine producing 160 hp and 250 Nm of peak torque. Power is routed to the front wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch automated transmission (DSG). This setup enables the sedan to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 8.8 seconds, while top speed is electronically governed at 200 km/h.

Compared to the first-generation Bora (Typ 1J), the new model features significantly enlarged proportions, a modern chassis architecture, and an entirely digitized cabin concept. The dashboard is centered around a 15-inch 2K touchscreen infotainment display. The system runs on a high-performance Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chipset, features integrated DeepSeek artificial intelligence capabilities, and includes an intelligent voice control assistant.
