The first generation Toyota Vellfire (AH20) luxury minivan, a sportier twin to the Alphard, was produced from 2008 to 2015.
The Toyota Vellfire luxury minivan, designated AH20, launched in May 2008 alongside the second-generation Alphard. Targeted toward buyers seeking bold, athletic styling combined with executive luxury, the Vellfire featured stacked split headlights, a dark chrome front grille, and clear rear light bars. The cabin boasted Executive Lounge seats with power ottomans, tri-zone climate control, and a JBL premium sound system.
Powertrains included a 2.4-liter 2AZ-FE engine (170 hp) with CVT and a 3.5-liter 2GR-FE V6 (280 hp) mated to a 6-speed automatic. In 2011, Toyota added the THS II hybrid variant employing a 2.4-liter engine paired with E-Four electric all-wheel drive.
