The second-generation Toyota Sienta compact MPV, designated XP170, debuted in July 2015. The model featured trekking-shoe inspired exterior styling with bold black bumper moldings and vivid color choices. Built on an elongated low-floor platform (330 mm step height), the XP170 was offered in 6-, 7-, and 2-row 5-seat (Funbase) seating arrangements.

Powertrain choices comprised a 1.5-liter 2NR-FKE engine (109 hp) paired with a CVT, alongside a 1.5-liter full hybrid variant (99 hp total output). A 2018 facelift introduced updated LED headlights, a restyled front bumper, and standard Toyota Safety Sense technologies.
