Fourth generation Toyota Sienna built on the modular TNGA-K platform, sold exclusively with an advanced high-efficiency hybrid powertrain.
The fourth generation Toyota Sienna was unveiled in May 2020 as a complete clean-sheet redesign. Constructed on Toyota's TNGA (GA-K) modular platform, the vehicle achieved a lower center of gravity and a dramatic increase in structural chassis rigidity. The exterior design drew stylistic inspiration from Japanese Shinkansen bullet trains, presenting a bold front apron with slim LED headlights and an expansive lower grille. Inside, the cabin debuted an elevated Bridge Console layout separating the front seats, complemented by a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment display, digital rearview mirror, and an available color head-up display.
Mechanically, the XL40 generation permanently replaced conventional V6 engines with a standard Toyota Hybrid System II. The setup combines a 2.5-liter A25A-FXS Dynamic Force four-cylinder engine with electric motors to yield a total system output of 245 horsepower managed by an eCVT. Models equipped with Electronic On-Demand All-Wheel Drive (E-Four) utilize a dedicated rear electric motor to deliver instant rear-wheel traction without a heavy mechanical driveshaft. The minivan comes standard with the comprehensive Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 suite.
