The 2026 model year update for the first-generation Toyota Roomy continues on the subcompact M900 platform, measuring 3700 mm in length and positioning itself directly above the kei-car class. The vehicle is produced exclusively in a tall five-door tall-wagon body style with practical sliding rear side doors, low step-in height, and a versatile flat-floor layout.

The mechanical specification retains the proven 1.0-liter three-cylinder petrol engine range from the 1KR family, consisting of a naturally aspirated 69-hp unit and a turbocharged version generating 98 hp. Both powerplants are coupled with a continuously variable transmission (CVT), with a choice of front-wheel drive or full-time all-wheel drive.

The 2026 refresh focuses on passive and active safety upgrades, introducing standard front side airbags and full-length curtain airbags for both seating rows, alongside additional parking sensors. Inside, the dashboard gains a central digital display between the analog instruments, while driver seat height adjustment and a front center armrest become standard equipment.
