The Toyota Allion compact sedan, designated T240, launched in Japan in December 2001 replacing the long-running Carina line. Named from the phrase 'All in one', the front-wheel-drive T240 offered a spacious cabin featuring rare reclining rear seats.
Engines ranged from a 1. 5-liter 1NZ-FE to a 2. 0-liter 1AZ-FSE direct-injection engine.
