Nine years after debuting the second-generation Roadster concept, Tesla has completely redesigned the electric supercar ahead of its planned 2028 production start. Replacing the rounded 2+2 concept is a sharp-edged, wedge-shaped two-seater inspired by the SR-71 Blackbird and F-35 aircraft, equipped with steer-by-wire controls and active aerodynamics.

Tesla will livestream a presentation of its long-delayed Roadster on X on the evening of October 15. The electric sports car was first shown as a prototype in 2017 with promises of sub-two-second acceleration to 60 mph.

Tesla celebrated the production rollout of its Class 8 electric Semi at a new manufacturing facility in Sparks, Nevada. The 1,076-horsepower commercial truck boasts a 500-mile loaded range and supports a gross combined weight rating of up to 82,000 pounds.

Tesla has unveiled the Cybercab, a radical two-seat electric coupe designed entirely without a steering wheel, pedals, or side mirrors. The vehicle boasts a teardrop aerodynamic body with butterfly doors, unpainted gold plastic panels, and a claimed drag coefficient under 0.20. Underneath, it features a front-mounted 219-hp electric motor and a 48-kWh battery pack built with dry-cathode 4680 cells.
