The third-generation Suzuki SX4 crossover (CD539) has been produced since 2021, branded primarily as the S-Cross in international markets.
The third-generation Suzuki SX4, designated internally as CD539, debuted online in November 2021. Utilizing an updated iteration of Suzuki's modular global platform, the crossover was completely restyled with a more rugged and upright SUV silhouette. Exterior design highlights include an elevated hood line, a prominent gloss-black front grille, matrix-style LED lighting, and muscular wheel arch cladding. Inside, the cabin received a redesigned dashboard featuring a floating 9-inch touchscreen infotainment display supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with the full Suzuki Safety Support driver-assistance suite.
Powertrains for the third generation focus entirely on electrified setups. The core option is a 1.4-liter K14D Boosterjet turbocharged engine paired with a 48-volt SHVS mild-hybrid system, delivering 129 hp and enhanced low-end torque. In mid-2022, Suzuki introduced a full hybrid (HEV) variant combining a 1.5-liter Dualjet four-cylinder engine with a 24 kW electric motor and an automated manual transmission (AGS). Both powertrains can be paired with front-wheel drive or Suzuki's AllGrip Select four-wheel-drive system.
