Suzuki S-Cross I (JY) gallery (2013–2021)

The first generation of the Suzuki S-Cross crossover (JY series) was manufactured from 2013 to 2021.

Launching in 2013, the first-generation Suzuki S-Cross (JY chassis platform) expanded Suzuki's presence in the competitive compact SUV market segment. Built on a new lightweight platform featuring front MacPherson struts and a rear torsion beam, the model introduced Suzuki's AllGrip 4WD system, enabling drivers to toggle between Auto, Sport, Snow, and Lock powertrain modes via a rotary dial on the center console.

Initial engines featured a 1.6-liter M16A naturally aspirated engine (117 hp) and a 1.6-liter DDiS turbodiesel engine. A major facelift in late 2016 redesigned the front fascia with a bold vertical-slat chrome grille, raised ride height to 180 mm, and introduced direct-injection turbocharged Boosterjet engines (1.0-liter 3-cylinder with 112 hp and 1.4-liter 4-cylinder with 140 hp). 48V mild-hybrid integration arrived in 2020 for European distribution.
