The Octavia III marked a major technological leap. Using the MQB platform allowed for significant weight reduction and improved handling. The design became sharper and more angular. The range of driver-assist systems expanded to include adaptive cruise control and automatic parking. All-wheel drive versions and natural gas (CNG) models were available.
