The fifth-generation Rolls-Royce Corniche (often referenced as Corniche V or the 2000 Corniche) debuted in January 2000 as the brand's flagship open-top grand tourer. Sharing its platform styling cues with the contemporary Silver Seraph, the Corniche was unique in retaining the venerable 6.75-liter Rolls-Royce V8 engine fitted with a low-pressure Garrett turbocharger, delivering 325 hp and 738 Nm of torque. Power was routed through a GM 4L80-E four-speed automatic transmission. Offered solely as a two-door, four-passenger convertible, it featured an advanced electronically operated soft top, adaptive chassis damping, automatic ride-height control, and stability control systems. The interior showcased opulent craftsmanship with hand-selected Connolly leather hides, Wilton wool carpets, and bookmatched burr walnut veneers. It holds a distinct place in automotive history as the final new model built at the Crewe factory prior to the brand's transition to the BMW Group.
