The fourth-generation Nissan Murano (Z53) mid-size crossover features a revised powertrain, standard AWD, and updated styling.
The fourth-generation Nissan Murano (chassis code Z53) is built on an updated mid-size crossover platform featuring a five-door SUV body style. The redesign introduces a modern exterior aesthetic characterized by slim horizontal LED lighting, a revised grille architecture, available 21-inch wheels, and a distinctive floating roofline. Inside, the cabin receives dual 12.3-inch digital displays, upgraded materials, enhanced sound insulation, and zero-gravity seating for front and rear occupants.
Under the hood, the fourth-generation Murano marks a major departure from its predecessor by replacing the long-running naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6 and CVT gearbox with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 241 horsepower. The engine is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. Nissan also restructured the trim hierarchy by discontinuing the base SV model and introducing the new Dark Armor blackout edition alongside SL and Platinum trims.
