About this generation

The third-generation Armada is the North American twin of the Patrol Y63, with a twin-turbo V6.

The third-generation Nissan Armada (Y63) entered production in November 2024 as a 2025 model-year vehicle. Like its predecessor, the Armada is the Nissan Patrol for the United States and Canada: it shares the ladder frame of the seventh-generation Patrol and differs in styling, trim levels and tuning for the North American market.

The naturally aspirated 5.6-litre V8 of the previous Armada gives way to a 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 rated at 425 hp, paired with a nine-speed automatic. Drive goes to the rear or to all four wheels, and four-wheel-drive versions get a low range. Independent suspension at every corner reduces intrusion into the cabin, making the third row roomier and the cargo area larger.

The range adds an off-road Pro-4X version with a locking rear differential and all-terrain tyres, plus an Armada Nismo. Inside there are two 14.3-inch screens, a head-up display, massaging front seats and room for up to eight people.
