The first-generation Mitsubishi RVR (Recreation Vehicle Runner, N10/N20 series) debuted in 1991 featuring a sliding left rear door. Engineering of the RVR I (N10) (factory code N10) emphasized high structural rigidity, aerodynamic efficiency, and optimized interior spatial packaging. The Hyper Sports Gear R trim featured a 2.0-liter 4G63T turbo engine and AWD derived from the Lancer Evolution. Production ended in 1997.
