Mitsubishi Montero V gallery (2027–present)

Fifth generation of the three-row body-on-frame Mitsubishi Montero SUV built on the Triton platform.

The fifth-generation Mitsubishi Montero returns to a rugged body-on-frame architecture based on the midsize Triton pickup platform, sharing key components with the Nissan Frontier. The three-row SUV features an imposing boxy silhouette and is substantially larger than both the Outlander crossover and its own predecessor. Front styling is highlighted by vertical headlamps bisected by a full-width light bar, complemented by distinctive T-shaped taillights at the rear.

A major structural update is the transition from the legacy side-hinged rear door with an externally mounted spare tire to a conventional top-hinged liftgate. The cabin is significantly more refined than typical utility trucks, offering premium materials and a specialized digital off-road display inspired by the historic multi-meter gauges from earlier Pajero/Montero generations.

The powertrain lineup includes turbocharged petrol and diesel engines along with hybrid alternatives, connected to an automatic transmission and a multi-mode four-wheel-drive system. Compared to the fourth-generation (V80), the new model features an updated ladder frame, improved interior ergonomics, modern active driver assistance systems, and increased passenger capacity.
