The second-generation Mitsubishi ASX was unveiled in late 2022 and launched across European markets in 2023. Engineered under the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance on the CMF-B modular platform, it represents a badge-engineered derivative of the second-generation Renault Captur. It features customized front grille accents alongside prominent Mitsubishi lettering spanning the tailgate. Engineering of the ASX II (factory code II) emphasized high structural rigidity, aerodynamic efficiency, and optimized interior spatial packaging. Built with reinforced body structures utilizing high-tensile steel alloys, the platform delivered reduced curb weight alongside improved occupant crash protection. The vehicle was distributed globally in multiple configuration packages designed to satisfy diverse market demands and regional regulatory specifications.
