Mazda Sentia I (HD) gallery (1991–1995)

Luxury flagship sedan for the domestic market.

The first-generation Mazda Sentia (HD), launched in 1991, was the brand's Japanese-market flagship saloon, sold abroad as the 929. Built on a rear-wheel-drive platform, it carried V6 petrol engines of 2.5 and 3.0 litres and offered four-wheel steering on top trims. Its low, wide body with frameless door glass reflected Mazda's early-1990s design ambition, but the model struggled against established German rivals and was replaced in 1995.
