Maserati Quattroporte VI (M156) photos

Unveiled at the 2013 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, the sixth-generation Maserati Quattroporte (Tipo M156) grew into a true full-size luxury flagship saloon. Engineered under the design direction of Lorenzo Ramaciotti, the M156 combined aggressive lines with traditional design cues, such as frameless door glass and three iconic fender portholes, built upon a lightweight platform utilizing 60 percent aluminum body components. The engine lineup featured powertrains developed in partnership with and built by Ferrari: a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 producing between 330 hp and 430 hp, and a flagship 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 delivering 530 hp, elevated to 580 hp in the range-topping Trofeo variant. For the first time, a 3.0-liter V6 turbodiesel (275 hp) and Q4 intelligent all-wheel-drive were offered. All powerplants were mated to an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission with standard adaptive Skyhook suspension. The model received major visual and technological updates in 2016 (introducing GranLusso and GranSport trim philosophies) and 2020 (enhanced ADAS and Android-based MIA infotainment). It enjoyed strong global sales across North America, China, Europe, and the Middle East.
