Engineered under the direction of Elwood Engel, the fourth-generation Continental completely revolutionized American luxury aesthetics with its elegant, slab-sided profile and understated chrome trim. The model launched as a four-door sedan and a rare four-door convertible, adding a pillarless two-door hardtop coupe for 1966.
