Lincoln Continental X (D544) gallery (2016–2020)

Introduced for the 2017 model year after a fourteen-year hiatus, the tenth-generation Continental (program code D544) was engineered on an extended version of Ford’s CD4 mid-size/full-size platform. Designed with an elegant, tailored exterior featuring signature matrix LED headlamps and beltline-integrated E-Latch electronic door handles, it was sold across North America, China, and select Middle Eastern markets. Engine choices included a naturally aspirated 3.7-liter V6 (305 hp), a 2.7-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 (335 hp), and a Lincoln-exclusive 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 producing 400 hp paired with Dynamic Torque Vectoring All-Wheel Drive, alongside a 2.0-liter turbo I4 for China. All powerplants operated through a six-speed SelectShift automatic transmission. Interior luxuries included 30-way Perfect Position seats with massage functions and Revel Ultima audio. To celebrate the heritage of the 1961 icon, Lincoln produced a limited run of extended-wheelbase Coach Door Editions with center-opening doors for 2019 and 2020 before retiring the nameplate.
