About this generation

The third-generation Lexus RX (AL10) launched in 2008 with a double-wishbone rear suspension, Remote Touch joystick, and RX 450h hybrid.

The third-generation Lexus RX luxury crossover (chassis code AL10) debuted at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November 2008 for the 2010 model year. Built on a upgraded platform featuring a double-wishbone rear suspension, cargo space expanded significantly. Cabin technology introduced the Remote Touch haptic controller, Head-Up Display (HUD), active headrests, and a 15-speaker Mark Levinson audio system.

Powertrains included the RX 270 (2.7-liter four-cylinder), RX 350 (3.5-liter 2GR-FE V6 outputting 275 hp with a six-speed automatic and Active Torque Control AWD), and the RX 450h hybrid producing 295 total horsepower. A comprehensive 2012 mid-cycle facelift introduced Lexus's corporate spindle grille, revised headlights with LED daytime running lights, and an F Sport performance package.
