The second generation of the subcompact crossover Kia Seltos, introduced in 2026.
The second generation of the subcompact crossover Kia Seltos was officially introduced in the spring of 2026, replacing the first-generation model (SP2) that had been in production since 2019. The vehicle retains its five-door SUV body style while introducing a completely revised exterior design. Key styling features include a concave front radiator grille, flush-mounted deployable door handles, and vertical two-tier daytime running lights. Along with the standard appearance package, a rugged X-Line trim level is also offered.
The cabin received a major technological overhaul centered around a digital cockpit with a 10-inch digital instrument cluster and a massive 27-inch infotainment touchscreen powered by an AI-based voice assistant. The multimedia platform supports integrated video games when the vehicle is parked. Available equipment includes a premium Bose audio system, ambient interior lighting, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, wireless charging, and an active safety suite featuring lane keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, surround-view cameras, and remote parking assist.
The powertrain lineup comprises two petrol engine options. The entry-level model is equipped with a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine producing 115 hp, paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The higher-output variant features a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine delivering 200 hp mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. For the Chinese domestic market, all configurations are offered exclusively with front-wheel drive.
