The fifth generation Isuzu KB debuted in 2012, bringing enhanced comfort, modern safety features, and refined diesel performance.
The fifth generation Isuzu KB debuted in 2012, mirroring the structural updates of the redesigned Isuzu D-Max platform. It featured a bold and muscular exterior aesthetic, a significantly stiffer ladder frame for improved crash safety, and an updated interior equipped with modern connectivity features. Engine options included refined 2.5-liter and high-output 3.0-liter common-rail diesel engines paired with responsive manual and automatic transmissions. The vehicle continued to serve core markets under the traditional Isuzu KB nomenclature, particularly in South Africa, until production of the KB badge officially wrapped up in 2018, transitioning all regional markets to the universal D-Max nameplate.
