The fourth generation Isuzu KB, structurally aligned with the globally acclaimed Isuzu D-Max, was introduced in 2002. This model marked a major shift towards passenger-car comfort, featuring a contemporary design, a spacious and well-appointed interior, and advanced common-rail diesel technology. The engine lineup featured high-torque 2.5-liter and 3.0-liter diesel powerplants mated to manual and automatic transmissions. Both rear-wheel-drive and electronic four-wheel-drive configurations were standard options across the range. Retaining the iconic Isuzu KB designation specifically for markets like South Africa due to strong brand equity, this generation remained in production until 2012, solidifying its legacy as an indestructible commercial and lifestyle companion.
