The I (FO) generation of the Hyundai Trajet was manufactured between 1999 and 2008. The Hyundai Trajet (FO platform) launched in 1999 built on Sonata IV chassis architecture. It offered 7 individual seating positions that could be rotated or removed.
Engine choices included 2.0L four-cylinders, 2.7L Delta V6 (173 hp), and 2.0L CRDi turbodiesels. Facelifted in 2004. Throughout its production run, the I (FO) established a strong reputation for powertrain efficiency, passenger comfort, and structural reliability.
