The eighth-generation Hyundai Sonata (DN8) entered production in 2019 featuring Sensuous Sportiness design, N3 platform engineering, and hidden LED daytime lights.
The eighth-generation Hyundai Sonata (DN8 platform) premiered in March 2019. Engineered on Hyundai's N3 platform, it introduced striking Sensuous Sportiness styling defined by LED daytime running lights embedded into chrome hood strips. The modern cabin featured a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and a shift-by-wire push-button gear selector.
Powertrains include Smartstream 2.0-liter, 2.5-liter (up to 194 hp), 1.6-liter T-GDI, a high-performance 2.5-liter T-GDI (290 hp in N Line), and a Solar Roof Hybrid model. A dramatic 2023 refresh introduced a full-width Seamless Horizon Lamp LED bar across the front hood.
