About this generation
The second-generation Honda Insight was produced from 2009 to 2014 as an accessible five-door hybrid hatchback.
The second-generation Honda Insight (ZE2/ZE3) launched in 2009 as a five-door liftback designed to make hybrid technology affordable. It featured an aerodynamic profile and an interactive Eco Assist dashboard display.
Powering the car was a 1.3-liter LDA engine (88 hp) assisted by a 14 hp IMA electric motor paired with a CVT. An Exclusive trim with a 1.5-liter engine (111 hp) arrived in 2011 alongside subtle grille updates.
