Genesis GV90 I (JG1) gallery (2026–present)

The first-generation Genesis GV90 (factory code JG1) is the brand's first full-size flagship SUV and the pinnacle of its electric line-up. It was unveiled on 19 August 2026 at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco as a production version of the 2024 Neolun concept, with manufacturing at Ulsan Plant 6 in South Korea and a 2027 model year. Unlike other electric Genesis models, which use E-GMP, the GV90 rides on a dedicated eMP platform developed exclusively for the flagship: it measures 5,285 mm long, 2,030 mm wide and 1,815-1,825 mm tall on a 3,245 mm wheelbase, with a flat floor and three rows of seats. Two body variants are offered: the standard GV90 with conventional swing doors, and the GV90 Neolun with the Neolun Arch Gate, the world's first independently opening coach doors with a hidden B-pillar, where twin high-strength steel beams and a concealed roll-cage structure replace the missing pillar.

The powertrain is electric only: two permanent-magnet synchronous motors, 240 kW at the front and 250 kW at the rear, combine for 490 kW (657 hp) and 800 Nm with permanent all-wheel drive; there is no conventional gearbox, each axle using a single-speed reduction gear. The 123.5 kWh battery is the largest in any Hyundai Motor Group EV, good for roughly 500 km of range (311 miles EPA), and a 350 kW charger takes it from 10 to 80 percent in 22 minutes. The GV90 is the group's first vehicle with a Dual E-LSD on both axles, and it adds multi-chamber air suspension, dual-valve adaptive dampers and rear-wheel steering with up to five degrees of articulation. Equipment includes 12 airbags with the world's first Roof Airbag, a pop-up OLED cinematic display measuring 23.6 inches retracted and 24.6 inches raised, a 25-inch head-up display in place of an instrument cluster, the Android Automotive-based Pleos Connect infotainment platform with the Gleo AI assistant, a 25-speaker Bang & Olufsen Premier 3D sound system and massaging seats; the Neolun version adds front seats that swivel a full 180 degrees. Sales markets are South Korea, North America and Europe.
