About this generation

The first generation of the high-performance Genesis GV60 Magma electric crossover featuring a 641-hp dual-motor powertrain.

Launched for the 2027 model year, the first-generation Genesis GV60 Magma (chassis code JW) introduces track-capable performance to the updated GV60 lineup. Offered exclusively as a five-door coupe-styled SUV weighing 4,938 pounds with an even 50/50 front-to-rear weight distribution, the model features an upgraded cabin with a panoramic 27.0-inch display, black suede upholstery with signature orange stitching, bolstered sport seats, and dark-finished physical climate controls.

Propulsion is provided by a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system pairing a 223-hp, 273-lb-ft front permanent-magnet motor with a 378-hp, 310-lb-ft rear unit. System output is rated at 600 hp in standard mode and peaks at 641 hp and 583 lb-ft of torque via the steering-wheel Boost button, propelling the crossover from 0 to 60 mph in 3.3 seconds and through the quarter mile in 11.3 seconds at 127.3 mph.

An 84.0-kWh NMC lithium-ion battery delivers an EPA-estimated range of 222 miles (78 mpg-e combined) and supports ultra-fast charging that adds 121 miles of range in 15 minutes. Chassis upgrades over the standard GV60 include an 18 mm lower ride height, widened fenders housing 275/35R21 Pirelli P Zero PZ5 Elect summer tires on forged wheels, an electronic limited-slip rear differential with a dedicated drift mode, and four-piston brake calipers capable of stopping the vehicle from 60 mph in 103 feet.
