The seventh-generation Ford Taurus (2015–2022, chassis D568) was developed by Changan Ford for the Chinese market as a premium executive sedan on an extended CD4 platform.
Produced from 2015 to 2022 by the Changan Ford joint venture in Hangzhou, the Chinese-market Ford Taurus (codenamed D568) was engineered specifically as an executive full-size sedan. Built on a long-wheelbase variant of Ford's CD4 mid-size platform (shared with the Mondeo and Lincoln MKZ), it featured a 116.1-inch wheelbase geared toward rear-passenger comfort. Interior options emphasized luxury, including power-reclining rear seats with heating, ventilation, and massage functions.
Engine options featured EcoBoost turbocharged gasoline engines: a 1.5-liter inline-four, a 2.0-liter inline-four, and a 2.7-liter twin-turbo V6 producing 329 horsepower. Initially paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission, later models were upgraded to an 8-speed automatic. A mid-cycle refresh in 2019 introduced the ultra-luxurious Vignale trim level, along with updated LED lighting and a vertical 12.8-inch SYNC+ touchscreen infotainment system. Production in China concluded in 2022.
