The second generation Changan Star 2 was produced between 2007 and 2012. Maintaining a durable rear-wheel-drive setup with a leaf-sprung rear axle, the redesigned body featured an elevated roofline and an extended wheelbase. Product offerings included passenger minivans, cargo vans, and flatbed pickup trucks. Power units consisted of 1.0-liter and 1.3-liter four-cylinder gasoline engines outputting between 60 and 98 horsepower, paired exclusively with a 5-speed manual transmission. Cabin comfort saw improvements through upgraded sound insulation, available manual air conditioning, and enhanced heater performance.
