The second generation Changan Alsvin V5 featured a refreshed exterior appearance, upgraded Blue Core engines, and enhanced acoustic cabin isolation overall.

The second generation Changan Alsvin V5 was produced from 2012 to 2017 as a redesigned evolution of the Alsvin sedan. The vehicle retained its front-wheel-drive unibody platform with front MacPherson struts and a rear torsion beam axle, while adopting a new front fascia with a revised grille and headlights. Overall length expanded to 4.3 meters. Engine offerings featured 1.3-liter and 1.5-liter four-cylinder naturally aspirated Blue Core engines producing 94 and 114 horsepower, respectively. Gearbox choices included a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic transmission. Cabin improvements encompassed a redesigned dashboard, upgraded interior plastics, a 7-inch infotainment screen, rear parking sensors, and air conditioning. Solid build quality and affordable fuel consumption contributed to its commercial success. The Alsvin V5 was retailed in China and exported to South American and Asian automobile markets.
