Changan Alsvin I gallery (2009–2012)
The first generation Changan Alsvin established the brand lineup of accessible compact cars, offering a practical cabin and a proven petrol engine unit.
The first generation Changan Alsvin compact model (badged as Yuexiang in domestic China) was produced from 2009 through 2013. Constructed on a front-wheel-drive subcompact platform, the suspension incorporates MacPherson front struts and a trailing-arm rear torsion beam. Available body configurations included a 4-door sedan and a 5-door hatchback with aerodynamic body contours. Propulsion came from a 1.5-liter four-cylinder naturally aspirated gasoline engine producing between 98 and 106 horsepower with 137 Nm of torque. Transmission choices comprised a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 4-speed automatic unit sending drive to the front wheels. Interior amenities provided manual air conditioning, power front windows, a CD/USB audio head unit, dual front airbags, and anti-lock brakes. The original Alsvin achieved strong sales figures in China and was exported across Latin American and Middle Eastern markets.
