Buick Verano I photos

The first-generation Buick Verano debuted in 2011 for the 2012 model year and was manufactured until 2017 at GM's Orion Assembly plant in Michigan. Designed primarily for North America, it was built on the front-wheel-drive GM Delta II architecture, sharing structural components with the Chevrolet Cruze and European Opel Astra J while incorporating Buick's QuietTuning acoustic insulation. The powertrain lineup included two naturally aspirated and turbocharged four-cylinder Ecotec gasoline engines: a standard 2.4-liter engine rated at 180 hp and an optional 2.0-liter turbocharged unit producing 250 hp. A six-speed automatic transmission was standard, while a six-speed manual gearbox was offered on the Turbo trim. The vehicle featured an upscale cabin with plush materials, Buick IntelliLink touchscreen infotainment, and active safety systems. North American sales concluded in 2017 without a direct successor in the region.
