Buick Park Avenue III (WM) gallery (2007–2012)

The third-generation Buick Park Avenue was introduced in April 2007 by the SAIC-GM joint venture exclusively for the Chinese executive car market. Departing completely from its front-wheel-drive American predecessors, this generation was developed on GM's rear-wheel-drive Zeta architecture and was derived directly from the long-wheelbase Australian Holden Caprice and Statesman WM series. Offered solely as an executive four-door sedan, it catered extensively to chauffeured buyers, boasting an expansive rear passenger compartment with multi-zone climate controls and massage seats. The initial engine range featured Australian-built 2.8-liter (201 hp) and 3.6-liter (250 hp) High Feature V6 engines mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission. In 2010, the Chinese Park Avenue received a significant mid-cycle update that introduced advanced direct-injection 3.0-liter (254 hp) and 3.6-liter SIDI (310 hp) V6 engines paired with a modern 6-speed automatic transmission. Assembly took place at the Shanghai GM plant until production was discontinued in 2012, concluding the historical lineage of the Park Avenue nameplate.
