Arriving in 2012, the third iteration of the BMW M6 expanded its horizon by offering three body variants: the F12 convertible, F13 coupe, and for the first time, the elegant F06 Gran Coupe four-door saloon. Underneath, BMW replaced the naturally aspirated V10 with a high-torque 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged S63 V8 engine producing 552 horsepower standard, climbing up to 592 horsepower with the factory Competition Package option.

Power was delivered to the rear wheels via a 7-speed M dual-clutch transmission integrated with an Active M Differential for optimal high-speed traction. Boasting carbon-fiber roof panels on the coupe and Gran Coupe, optional carbon-ceramic brakes, and rich Individual interior appointments, the F06/F12/F13 lineup defined modern high-performance luxury during its production run through 2018, leaving a lasting mark on BMW Motorsport history and setting the groundwork for the future M8 series.
