Debuting in 2004, the fifth-generation 3 Series brought distinct body code designations for the sedan (E90), Touring (E91), Coupe (E92), and hardtop Convertible (E93). Designed under Joji Nagashima, it featured a longer wheelbase, wider tracks, and modern Flame Surfacing touches.

Under the hood, the E90 introduced turbocharging back to mainstream BMWs with the legendary N54 twin-turbo 335i, delivering effortless muscle. Combined with run-flat tires, active steering options, and iDrive, the E90 generation modernized the sports sedan line.
