Unveiled in 2017, the second-generation Audi RS5 shifted from atmospheric power to a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 engine co-developed with Porsche engineers. Generating 450 hp and a massive 600 Nm of torque—representing a colossal 170 Nm increase over its predecessor—the new forced-induction powertrain launched the car from 0 to 100 km/h in a swift 3.9 seconds. Power was routed through a fast-shifting eight-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission and permanent quattro all-wheel drive featuring a mechanical self-locking center differential.

Built on Audi's advanced MLB Evo platform, the B9 generation cut up to 60 kg of curb weight while offering both classic two-door Coupe and practical five-door Sportback body styles. With 15 mm wider fender arches inspired by the historic Audi 90 quattro IMSA GTO racecar, optional lightweight carbon-fiber roof panels, and Dynamic Ride Control hydraulic suspension, the B9 RS5 expertly balances effortless long-distance touring with blistering cross-country pace.
