Luxury Volvo XC90 at the 2015 Auto Shanghai

Following a rumour which emerged last September, Volvo has confirmed that they are working on a more luxurious XC90.

According to the rumour, Volvo has announced that they are creating an XC90 of enhanced comfort. The vice president of the company has stated that the second generation XC90 will obtain a luxury variant. Unfortunately, he refused to go into details. Despite this, there is a report which indicates the seven-seat layout of the regular offering will be transformed to a four-seat configuration. It will feature individual back seat. It is supposed that the passenger’s seat in the back part will benefit from electrically-adjustable seats with wide squabs and function of massage.

By the way, the back seats will be installed further to the end in comparison with the position of the middle bench seen in the standard offering as a method to enable the overriding legroom. It is thought to create a feeling of a lounge-like cabin.

The model is expected to be sold in select markets only. China is going to become the most significant country. The model will be presented at the 2015 Shanghai Auto Show because of it.

Volvo XC90 of the higher specification will arrive on April 20 with the first press day.
