Golf R Evo concept from Volkswagen to be Announced in Beijing

Volkswagen reports about the launch of its new concept in Beijing.

One of the company’s officials states that the concept will be of lightweight kind due to extensive use of carbon fibre in the exterior design. Apart from that, wheels will be made of extra light material and rear seats could be turned into roll cage.

The engine option is expected to be a turbocharged V4 for 2.0 litres amounting to solid 300 hp and torque of 280 lb-ft. According to non-official sources, 100 km/h mark will be reached by the car in not more than 5 seconds.

The possibility of the launch of the production model will be clarified in April when Beijing Motor Show is to take place.
