ABT upgraded the Volkswagen Touareg 3.0 TDI to 290 HP
ABT Sportsline has brought a whole line of significant updates to a facelifted Volkswagen Touareg 3.0 TDI.
They started from underneath the hood. The vehicle’s turbodiesel six-cylinder engine got a power module increasing output. At first the output equalled to 262 hp (or 193 kW) and torque of 580 Nm (or 428 lb-ft). Now the engine generates 290 hp and torque of 650 Nm (or 480 lb-ft). According to ABT, this extra power does not negatively influence the consumption of fuel. Moreover, they assure that it does not affect reliability of the engine.
The more powerful engine comes together with a little bit more aggressive body. The more aggressive look was reached thankfully to a custom kit. This kit includes headlamp covers, a rear skirt along with quad exhaust tips, a rear wing and a radiator enclosure add-on. ABT has also changed the regular wheels with their own set. This set consists of 20- or 22-inch alloys, which are wrapped around in 275/45 R20 or 295/30 R22 tyres, respectively.
There are ABT Level Control (for offerings, which have air suspension), special floor mats and trunk mat, a set of lowering springs and integrated entrance lights among other improvements.
